Krishna Chaitanya Reddy Appeals to Centre and Andhra Pradesh Government to Protect Sanctity of Tirumala Laddu Prasadam

Hyderabad, February 02, 2026: S. Krishna Chaitanya Reddy, National Joint Coordinator of the All India Kisan Congress, has appealed to the Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu to intervene in the sensitive issue related to the alleged ghee adulteration in Tirumala Laddu Prasadam.

In his representation, Chaitanya Reddy emphasized that the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is a sacred institution revered by Hindus across the world, and the Laddu Prasadam holds immense spiritual and emotional significance for millions of devotees. He expressed deep concern that the issue has been politicized, leading to avoidable distress among devotees and harming religious sentiments.

Referring to allegations surrounding the previous YSR government and the continued public discussion by the present ruling dispensation, Chaitanya Reddy stated that repeated references in press meets and media debates have adversely impacted the sanctity and reputation of the Prasadam and the revered temple.

He urged that a fair and impartial investigation be conducted and that strict action be taken against those found guilty, strictly in accordance with the law. At the same time, to safeguard devotees’ faith and prevent further damage, he requested the authorities to instruct media organizations to remove news, data, and content related to the alleged ghee adulteration.

Additionally, Chaitanya Reddy appealed for directions to government officials, political leaders, and individuals to refrain from making public statements or social media posts on the matter until the investigation is concluded. He stated that such restraint would help restore public confidence and preserve the sanctity of Tirumala.

Concluding his appeal, Chaitanya Reddy said that these measures would go a long way in protecting the faith of millions of Hindus worldwide and upholding the dignity and reputation of the Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy Temple.
